Okay, funny story — I truly did not realize I had found myself a dupe until someone pointed it out to me. I had been wearing my DV Dolce Vita Mulaney flats on repeat because they are cute, comfortable, and go with everything, and then someone casually mentioned they looked just like the Alaïa mesh ballet flats. I had to go look them up and… yeah, they really do. Same pretty mesh upper, same dainty ballerina shape, same little buckle detail across the top, same chic, ladylike vibe. Except the Alaïa version is around $990 to $1,350, and mine were under $50. I get the appeal of the Alaïa, they are gorgeous, but knowing I accidentally picked up a look-for-less version without even trying makes me love these even more.
