This Not That: Bogg Bag

I’ve wanted a Bogg Bag for summer for the longest time because I totally get the appeal. It’s cute, practical, and one of those bags that somehow makes every beach or pool day feel a little more put together. I got to use my mother-in-law’s on spring break, and of course that only made me want one more. It held everything, wiped clean so easily, and just made carrying all the random summer chaos way less annoying. But here’s the thing: I just cannot justify spending $100 on a beach tote. Then I found this Mainstays Large Blue Isle Flex Tote from Walmart, and it’s finally a dupe worth talking about. The dimensions are surprisingly similar too, so you really do get that same oversized, structured, throw-everything-in-and-go feel. It also sits up on its own just like the Bogg, which is one of the biggest reasons people love it in the first place.
The only real con is that the Walmart straps can get twisted, but honestly the Bogg does that too — if it happens, just watch one of the Bogg untwisting videos online and fix it the same way. For a fraction of the price, this one gives the same summer tote energy without the splurge, and that’s exactly what I was looking for.
