This Not That: Kosas Revealer Extra Bright Color Corrector

Aging is a privilege I’m grateful for—but let’s be real, my neck and under-eyes are where it shows the most. Dark circles have become part of my everyday look, so I decided to test out some color correctors to see if they live up to the hype.

Kosas is the fan favorite, and I get why. It brightens beautifully and gives a luminous, dewy finish. But if you’re not into that glow, it might not be for you. Personally, it emphasized my fine lines more than I’d like—probably because it’s thicker than what I usually wear. Still, it blends like a dream.

e.l.f. didn’t work for me—it felt too drying.

Essence, though? Total winner. I only need a tiny amount for a big impact, and I don’t even have to layer anything over it. That’s a huge win for me since I hate stacking products under my eyes. It blends easily and didn’t cause any dryness or creasing.

The only downside? The shade range is limited, so it might not work for everyone.

For reference:

  • Kosas: Shade Magic

  • Essence: Shade 10
