This Not That: Kosas Spray-On Serum

Can someone explain the science behind the desire to spray your face constantly? 🤔 Whenever I include a facial mist in my routine, I find myself wanting to use it all day long—and honestly, I do 🤷🏻♀️ Like a serum stick, I’m trucking through a product like this in a couple of weeks so I can’t have anything over $20.
I recently tried the Kosas mini sample, and while it does give a lovely glow, I have mixed feelings. I enjoyed the floral scent, but I can see how it might irritate some people. My main issue, though, is that it contains alcohol. Why, Kosas?! They have some fantastic products, but this one is an easy pass for me.
On the other hand, I’ve tried both Tower 28 and Byoma, and I find myself reaching for the Byoma one more often. It’s incredibly hydrating, and I love using it as a toner in both my morning and evening routines. I like spraying it on mid-day and especially after a workout or walk. I’m telling you, there’s just something about a hydrating spray you just didn’t know you needed.
Don’t come for me about the Glow Recipe mist—I tried it, and it just wasn’t for me. Everyone has different skin needs, and that one didn’t fit mine at all.
What are your thoughts on facial mists? Do you have any favorites that you swear by? I’d love to hear your recommendations!
