This Not That: L'Occitane Shower Oil

So… am I really paying $40 to smell like a fancy macaron for 12 minutes? Because that’s exactly how I felt after trying L’Occitane’s shower oil. Y’all convinced me to stray from my decade-long body oil loyalty (👵), and I did it—but it just didn’t deliver.
Here’s the breakdown:
L’Occitane: Smells divine, priced like a luxury car payment. Thinner than water. I blink and it’s gone. Also, I’m not trying to risk a slip-and-slide situation in my shower for the sake of “luxury.”
Neutrogena: Clean, classic scent. Feels like silk. Costs less than my Starbucks order. And it actually stays on my skin long enough to do something.
I know Osea has a cult following, but it still doesn’t beat my tried-and-true. I even gave the trending Nuxe a go—honestly, it made me smell like a very chic grandmother. Not bad, just not me.
Pro tip: After your shower, pat yourself about 80% dry, then apply the Neutrogena oil. If your skin’s totally dry, you’ll waste product and miss out on that silky finish.
