Finally sharing my overdue storage hacks! As a family of five still living in our cozy starter home (shoutout to that 2% mortgage rate we can’t let go of 😅), I’ve had to get very creative with toy storage. Spoiler: kids never keep toys just in the playroom. So here’s how I keep our home feeling organized:
Stackable cubbies – These are a game-changer! We use them for dress-up clothes and the kids love how easy it is to grab what they need.
White storage unit – Perfect for hiding toy sets. I love the clean look, though my kids definitely prefer the open cubbies.
Storage bench – This hides the big stuff like our bouncy house and splash pad. Total lifesaver.
Wicker coffee tables – These live on our back porches and store everything from pillows to blankets to random clutter.
Fabric laundry baskets – Obsessed. I toss all the miscellaneous toys in here. We used to have wicker ones, but they were a mess. We keep them in our living room on the bottom book shelf.
My “influencer cabinet” – Where I stash all my extra bathroom, makeup, and skincare goodies. It’s chaotic but it works!
Plastic drawer units – Cheap and cheerful, and they keep our bathroom stuff super organized.
Coffee table with hidden storage – Currently on sale! It opens on both sides so the kids can easily access their toys. The inside is a disaster, but who cares?
Kids’ table with built-in storage – All the arts and crafts supplies live here. It’s functional and cute.
