This Not That: Nest New York Holiday Candle

The Nest Holiday Candle is Christmas to me 🎄I’m on my fifth year of burning it, and honestly, I can’t start the season without it. It’s become a tradition—and one of my go-to gifts for “favorite things” exchanges.

But let’s be real: a $90 candle isn’t what we’re doing here. So I went on a mission to find a more affordable alternative. I tried a bunch (shoutout to Quince, love you!), but nothing quite captured that Nest magic… until I stumbled on Bath & Body Works’ Winter.

Now, let’s be clear—it’s not a perfect dupe. Nest Holiday is a complex blend of pomegranate, mandarin, pine, cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, and amber. It’s rich, warm, and layered. But Winter comes so close it actually surprised me.

At first sniff, Winter smells a bit sharp—almost like a cleaning product (hello, Pop Paré vibes 😅). But once it’s lit? Game changer. The scent evolves into this beautiful, cozy blend of white woods, pine needles, sparkling clementine, and spiced clove. It’s fresh, festive, and incredibly comforting.

Sure, it’s missing that amber warmth Nest has, but for the price (especially during a BBW sale), it’s a solid stand-in. I’ll always keep Nest on hand for special moments, but Winter is now a staple in my holiday candle lineup.
