This Not That: Lola Blanket

I had wanted a Lola Blanket for the longest time because they look so luxe and, honestly, we all know Lola at this point because every influencer and their mom is promoting it. But I just could not justify spending that much on a blanket. While the Lola is definitely nice, it honestly has not been washing that well for me.

I finally tried a Minky blanket instead, and after months of using and washing it, I actually think it feels slightly better. It still gives that same super soft, cozy, wrapped-up-in-a-cloud feeling that makes you never want to get off the couch, but it has held up better for me over time. It feels plush, warm, and expensive without actually costing nearly as much, which makes it so much easier for me to recommend. I love having a blanket that feels special, but I also want to feel okay about actually using it every day, and Minky gives me that. If you’ve been eyeing a Lola but can’t bring yourself to spend that kind of money on a throw, Minky is such a good alternative and honestly the one I’d pick after months of use.
