This Not That: Bloomeffects Tulip Dew Sunscreen

Part 2 of my sunscreen series!

Bloomeffects was a rec from another influencer, and while I did end up loving it, be warned: it will have you looking like a full-on greaseball for a solid two hours post-application. I work from home, so it wasn’t a huge deal for me, but unless you set it with powder, your face will shine like a glazed donut.

The formula has a pinkish tint at first, but it blends in beautifully. That said, I eventually had to break up with it—the price tag was just too much.

I went through what felt like a million SPFs trying to find a dupe, and the closest match ended up being a Korean sunscreen from Gangnam Glow. It has that same pinkish hue that melts into your skin, but without the greasy aftermath. It gives you a gorgeous glow, evens out your complexion (hello, tone correction!), and still feels super lightweight with sheer coverage.

Bonus: it has a subtle scent that I actually love. And the best part? It’s affordable.
